I also noticed that a great video about Rolling Thunder is also available on YouTube.

Jay Leno Discusses and Rides the Mission-R Electric Superbike

Denis Flierl of TorqueNews.com has published an article that discusses the Mission-R electric superbike with Jay Leno. Jay then takes us on a ride to see how the bike compares to a regular superbike. The bike is quiet, has no transmission, uses Android 7" tablet technology for an instrument panel, and has a range between 80-100 miles, depending on how ridden. Here's an excerpt:
"It's no secret that Jay Leno loves cars and has a stable of over 100 classic and collectable cars in his garage, but he also has over 100 motorcycles in his collection. So it was only natural for Leno to invite the team from Mission Motors over to learn more about the companies Mission-R electric motorcycle and its technology." -- Denis Flierl, TorqueNews.com
I suggest you play the video in full-screen mode. Read the article and see the Video.

Motorcycles and ABS - Will ABS Be a Requirement Soon?

BMW pioneered the use of ABS on motorcycles. 24 years has gone by. How good is ABS on motorcycles now? Ron Lieback of UltimateMotorcycling.com published an article that has some answers. Here's an excerpt:
"When testing new motorcycles, judging the worthiness of a bike's Antilock Braking can become quite enjoyable. The ultimate ABS system will act almost undetectable, and the ultimate test of such a system involves the fun factor of trying to lock up the wheels at high speeds, both on dry and wet pavement. BMW was the first to master the art of undetectable ABS; take a ride on a S1000RR and you'll quickly understand. And there's a good reason why BMW is a leader in undetectable ABS - the Bavarian company has much experience honing its antilock braking system, considering it was the first manufacturer to offer ABS back in 1988 on its K models. And today, it's the only company to offer ABS as standard equipment across its entire motorcycle lineup." -- Ron Lieback, UltimateMotorcycling.com

Summer Movies Feature Motorcycles

Summer movies are action filled and what's better than major characters riding motorcycles to keep you on the edge of your seat. Picture Anne Hathaway as Catwoman riding a custom motorcycle in the new Batman film, "The Dark Knight Rises." Susan Carpenter of the Los Angeles Times published an article that gives you a rundown of summer films featuring motorcycles. Here's an excerpt:
"The superhero extravaganza 'The Avengers' marks the first of many movies that will feature motorcycles racing onto the big screen this summer. Not only will Captain America helm a Harley-Davidson in the big-budget Marvel movie, but one of the leads of 'Men in Black' will time-travel to 1969 on board an 'Easy Rider'-esque chopper. A circus bear will even throw a furry leg over a Ducati in the animated feature 'Madagascar 3.'" -- Susan Carpenter, Los Angeles Times
